A lion lived in a forest. He killed many beasts every day for his food. So, the animals got very much frightened. They held a meeting and decided that they would send one beast every day for the lion’s meal. One of them went to the king of beasts and told him about their plan. The lion agreed. Every morning one of animals went to the lion and the lion killed him for his meal. One day a hare’s turn came. The hare took a very long time to reach the lion’s den. So, the hungry lion became very angry and asked the hare, “Why have you come so late?” The clever hare told him that he was delayed by another lion on the way. He called himself the king of the forest. At this, the lion grew very angry and went to a well to see the other lion. Then the hare asked him to look into the well. The lion did so and saw his own image in the water. Then the foolish lion jumped down into the well died.
Moral : Look before you leap.

A crocodile visited a fox and asked him to teach his children. The fox gladly agreed to do so. The crocodile left all his children with the fox and ran to the river. The smart fox was interested in eating crocodile meat. He ate three of them with great satisfaction. After a couple of days, the crocodile came to determine its children. The smart fox entered and returned with the son of a crocodile. The crocodile was pleased to determine that his son was fat and pleasant. Then the fox came back in and came with an equivalent crocodile son, and showed it to the crocodile. All the time the fox came in and did something equivalent. A suspicion arose in the crocodile's mind and she understood the fox's trick. She wanted to know what had happened to other children. The smart fox at this point entered and never left the cave. Before leaving the crocodile, she advised her not to believe anyone without knowing her well.

Once there he lived two taxes in a house. One day they found a piece of cake in a corner. They both wanted to get the heaviest. Then they quarreled among themselves. At last they wanted to travel to their wise friend, Mr. Monkey for the solution. The monkey brought a pair of scales. He broke the cake into two pieces and put them on the scale. The monkey told the rats that one piece was clearly heavier than the other. So, the monkey bit a neighborhood from the bigger piece. As a result, the other piece became heavier. Then the monkey took a quarter of the heaviest piece and put it on the scale to divide it. The monkey kept doing the same thing over and over until only a piece of cake remained. Now the rats told the monkey to return that piece to them to eat. But he said he worked hard for them to divide the bread equally. So he wanted it as his reward. Saying therefore, the monkey also ate that piece. The rats left the place in a very sad mood, but the incident also made them wise.
Moral : Look before you leap.
